Angela Rockel is the author of Rogue Intensities, winner of the Dorothy Hewett Award for an Unpublished Manuscript (UWA Publishing 2019). She was born in Aotearoa New Zealand and has lived all of her adult life in rural lutruwita Tasmania. Her writing is a meditation on the experiences of living in place and a search for a language that does justice to this life, a language capable of supporting conversations about landscape, nature, community, history, family and inner and outer life, towards a politics of imagination and being.
